Speedy Soles rewarded with massages

I've bragged before about the wellness buzz over at KCC. Several teams post their minutes on enormous posters in the school hallway. You can't miss the fact that being mentally and physcially well is a priority for staff and students at KCC. The staff there had a wellness committee long before the districtwide minute logging effort began. They have events and fun educational activities that bring their staff together and create community.

Team Speedy Soles includes Mr. Abernthy, Mr. DeMarcus, Ms. Fuller, Ms. Hunt, Ms. Reed, Mr. H. Smith and Mr. Sparkman. The Soles recruited massage trainees from the Career Academy to provide 15 minute massages. Over 35 people participated!

79 Teams Get Fit

So far 79 teams are logging minutes toward a fit spring and summer. Some creative team names include the Personal Trainers, Speedy Soles, Slim Pickens (M Pickens is the captain), Happy Feat, Big Wild Workout and Citius, Altius, Fortius. Seems all that exercise has your creative juices flowing!
